The Chelan Public Library is hosting its annual 'Seuss-A-Palooza' Literacy Fair for elementary aged children and younger on March 7. The event is from 2-3 with the theme set as the Dr. Seuss book 'Oh the Places You'll Go'.

"They have the whole library set up in stations," said Michelle McNeil, communications manager. "There's bowling, basketball and fishing in a kids' pool."

Kids looking to tap into their creative side can gravitate toward the crafts and little ones wanting to document the moment can stop by the photo booth.

"The Lake Chelan Community Hospital EMS personnel always come and run the bean bag toss which is always fun. And the kids get to get messy and make Oobleck, which is a non-Newtonian fluid that's featured in one of Dr. Seuss's books."

Cookies and door prizes will also be offered at the literacy fair.
