A trio of North Central Regional Library branches are hosting author and broadcaster Harriet Baskas to share her program, Washington On Wheels: Odd and Innovative Transportation Ideas from the Pacific Northwest, in October. Baskas will highlight historical state transportation history, tap into the question as to why we travel and how transportation could unfold in the future.

"Audiences members will be invited to kind of consider future autonomous cars, vacations in space and just what the future might hold," said Amanda Brack, adult services manager. "So I think it'll be a really fun program for the whole family."

She will be visiting Oroville on October 15th, Pateros on October 16th and Leavenworth on October 17th.

Baskas is no stranger to NCRL and has visited several times for different humanities Washington programs.
