Halloween is just a few weeks away and parents trying to nail down plans that won't haunt little ones days after, the Brave Warrior Project has an option with its 'Not So Scary Halloween Party'. The Brave Warrior Project, an organization that offers programs and a sense of community to families with children that have developmental disorders, chronic health care needs and cancer, is hosting the sensory friendly party.

"Kids can come and go as they please. We'll have free activities and fun little treat bags," said Erica Moshe, founder.

Children that struggle with sensory processing issues can be sensitive when it comes to costumes, blinking lights or commotion. Moshes also stated some children struggle with communication, therefore making trick or treating difficult.  In order to make the space sensory friendly lights will be up and music will be down.

"Kids can practice trick or treating in a safe and fun environment," said Moshe.

The party will be from 6 to 9 on Halloween night at the Brave Warrior Project's new location, 18 N. Mission Street in Wenatchee. Costumes are optional.
