Central Washington University recently announced that it's 2021 Commencement address will be virtual.

According to a letter by President James Gaudino, university staff sought guidance from state health officials as well as other universities from across the country before deciding on the June 12th Virtual Commencement. In the letter Gaudino said, "While we have a promising path forward with the introduction of the vaccine, we know that it will not be readily available to all by the time of our events."

The address will include five ceremonies, divided by college. Every student will have a customized slide and will be able to upload photos, videos, and congratulatory messages. All graduates will receive their diploma cover and other commencement items in the mail.
