Quincy Police Arrest 25-year-old Female Vehicle Thief After Chase Monday

Quincy Police arrested a 25-year-old woman who faces vehicle theft charges after taking law enforcement on a short pursuit Monday.

Reports came in around 7:25 a.m. of a truck being stolen in the 1000 block of Intermodal Way.

Officers quickly found the vehicle, a 2500 GMC Duramax, and the suspect took off leading to a short pursuit through the town.

The driver, 25-year-old Mary Aldana, eventually left the roadway at the intersection of Division Road and 1st Ave and crashed into a debris pile.

She was taken to Quincy Valley Hospital for minor injuries before being placed into custody.
