Okanogan County Assistant Fire Chief Christian Johnson Died Wednesday

Okanogan County Emergency Management says that firefighter Christian Johnson died Wednesday from injuries sustained fighting the Spring Coulee Fire.

In a Facebook post announcing the passing, they say Johnson was surrounded by his wife Pam, family and friends.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation, Washington Wildland Fire Foundation or the Red Cross.

A celebration of life will be announced once arrangements have been made.

Johnson was 55.
